We provided a wide range of integrated solutions achieving functional benefits such as rigging, power distribution and cabling, as well as stand alone attractions like the ‘Imperfect Selfie’, which enabled users to capture distorted images of themselves to share on social media. We supplied the AV & IT hardware which ran the client’s software.
At the heart of the after party was a garage band style stage adorned with GUTS Club and Amex iconography. We supplied a Pioneer DJ kit with CDJ-3000 decks and a DJM-A9 mixer, used by all wxman/non-binary music collective Girl’s Can’t DJ, who played a set list curated by Olivia Rodrigo herself. Output from the decks was fed to a d&b PA system, with speakers around to the room to ensure excellent sound quality throughout. Robe Patt, Pointe and 150 Beam LED lights controlled by an Avolites Tiger Touch II provided stage lighting.
A projection mapped graffiti wall was a key interactive feature of the event. Handwritten quotes, inspired by Olivia Rodrigo songs were projected inside a tunnel, which guests could walk through and pose for pictures. We designed the tunnel structure, which included making structural engineering calculations ahead of the build. The tunnel was built from truss, with TFS fabric stretched over Bematrix frames. We used Panasonic 12K projectors with ultra short throw lenses, with content fed from a Resolume media server.
The GUTS Club after party was heavily styled to Olivia Rodrigo’s IP and aesthetic. Responding to a brief to create an ‘urban and unpolished space, which feels temporary, adaptable and thrown together at the last minute’, we installed atmospheric lighting throughout the venue to compliment this sentiment. Using 104 Astera LED tubes in various lengths, placed irregularly and lit using Rodrigo’s palette of purple, blue and white. This, along with the stage lighting and projection mapped tunnel created an authentic Olivia Rodrigo themed experience which delighted her fans.
