Experience agencies Moment Factory and Fever trusted Insert Productions with specialist technical production and pre-production services for an outdoor winter light festival.
We undertook a wide range of tasks from pre-event planning and providing labour to unload five shipping containers of equipment, to installing over 3000 lights, 135 speakers and four projectors—integrating all AV equipment into the side-wide power and data network.
Insert Productions provided over 300 crew days for the multi-week, technically complex installation. Our technicians were supported by project managers, carpenters, product specialists and general AV crew. Following the successful installation, we supported the live days with two show crew for each of the 65 days the event was operational.
Planning an outdoor installation, surrounded by lakes and woodland requires a thorough pre-production process. Following the client’s design and project timings, we created a crewing schedule and plans, including H&S documentation and assigning a hierarchy of on-site leadership to ensure our team were well-managed and efficient.
We supplied all plant machinery and operators required to install the Light Cycles experience within the eight acre site of Somers Fishery near Coventry. We provided telehandlers, boat operators, cherry pickers, generator-powered car park lighting and UTV vehicles (buggies) which enabled our crew to quickly and safely navigate the site during build and live days.
